Heartbeat was founded in 2016 by Brian Freeman and Kate Edwards. They were on a mission to shatter the barrier between brands and consumers and open up the lines of communications.
Brian is your typical serial entrepreneur, born and raised in San Diego, and Kate brings deep experience from advertising and Silicon Valley. The team of 25 employees (+2 office dogs) is based on the Venice Beach boardwalk, California. Among the team, we have a Jeopardy contestant, 2 Mt. Kilimanjaro summiteers, an aerial acrobat, a mountain-biker/boxer, and 23 cat-lovers.
